The Fixed Prices Form is actually a look up form, which provides information for the fixed prices of some predefined routes that have been stored in the system. Using this form you can view the stored fixed prices or add new routes with fixed price to the system.
Searching for fixed prices
You can search for the stored routes with fixed prices using the Search route section of the form. To prepare a search you must type the "Start" point or the "Destination" of a route in the corresponding fields.
While typing the system automatically returns the search results that refers to the specific Start or Destination. The search results are displayed on he table, under the search section.
You can export the search results in an excel file format, by clicking on the "export" icon , or print the table with the results by clicking on the "print" icon .
To add a new route with fixed price to the system you have simply follow the steps below.
1. Go on the table and place your cursor on the last empty record under the tables data.
2. Type on the record's fields the route's information, such as the start point, the destination point and the route's cost (at day and night). The Date_updated field is auto completed by the system.
3. Finishing with the typing you have complete the adding procedure, as the new record is saved automatically by the system.
The Fixed prices form provides in a separate section a calculation tool, to help you estimate the cost of specific routes. To calculate the cost of a specific fixed route you have to follow the steps below.
1. Go to the "Estimate price" section to add the route's data to the available fields
2. Type the start and destination point of a fixed route
3. Type the cost per distance unit in the "Price/km" field
4. Click on the "estimate price" icon , to run the calculation.
5. The calculation results are displayed in the "results holder", where are mentioned the route's total distance (km/miles) and the cost (€/$).
The distance and currency units have been set up during the system's installation process. You can change the metric units from the Regional Settings tool, under the Options menu.
