Car icon

1. Car icon
Each car is represented with a colored circle icon with an arrow inside. Those icons are drawn dynamically,
and represent the location reported by the GPS device of the car (tablet or GPS antenna connected to the
driver application). The pointing direction of the arrows represent the actual heading of the car reported
by the GPS.

The statuses derive from the input coming from the driver application the dispatch routine from the server,
and the Call Center declarations.
The coloring is different for every status and color variations apply to the circle and the included arrow.

The statuses of the cars are divided in three groups following specific coloring rules:

  • Normal Operation
  • With Penalty
  • On Alert

Bellow each group status is described. Have in mind that all three color rules are interconnected and can
apply at the same time. There are some restrictions based on the status. ex. A car or driver with penalty
can't enter a taxi stand and  a car or driver with penalty can't receive calls on the first stage of the claim
procedure or according to the claim scenario each taxi base uses.

1. The color code based on Normal Operation of the Cars. In this case all the arrows are white and only
the circle color is changed.

2. The color code based for Penalty Operation is differentiated by an outer border on the circle colored red. The vehicle inherits all the previous statuses of Normal Operation except of Taxi on it's way to pickup a customer, Taxi on Call Claim and Taxi stationed on a Taxi Stand.

penalty will be applied after the normal operation status change. So a Free Taxi car with penalty will never
revert to on it's way to pickup customer or claim status for as long as the penalty is effective, according to
a usual claim scenario used by taxi bases.
Additionally a car with penalty can change it's state to On Alert which is described bellow.

3. The color code for On Alert Operation. When a car is on Alert this can be ignited either by the driver
application or the panic button that some cars have installed and are connected with the driver application.
